Wednesday 21 October at Orchid in London’s Piccadilly, Canadian king of swing Michael Bublé hires out the club for a private party for his closest friends and associates.
However, the big event of the week was surely the next night, as hundreds of PASS readers descend on the stunning club to celebrate their exam success.
Once again PASS witnessed that our readers really can make a night to remember, with there likely to have been a few sore heads the next day!
It started with a bang and a pop this year as free cocktails bubbled over in celebration of your successes, courtesy of Hays.
Within an hour of the doors opening, passed finalists were exchanging career plans and getting on with the business of enjoying themselves.
The PASS team together with some the UK’s leading recruitment consultants from Hays, Morgan McKinley and FSS were on hand to guide beaming accountants through the mixed bag of entertainment set up to help them on their way.
Large Jenga, Connect 4, a Wii (Morgan McKinley) and vodka luge all drew large numbers looking for entertainment and refreshment.
Janine Parry of Hays said: ‘Once again, we’ve been really pleased with the PASS party. Don’t forget to invite us next time! It has been very busy and the quality of candidates was very high.’
Jenny Aldworth a passed finalist and prize winner, said: ‘I would come again if I could! I will definitely tell my friends about it.’
James Parkhouse, ACA qualified, said: ‘I’m had a great time, it was good to meet other people and everyone was in such a celebratory mood. It’s a really good night. The nightclub’s very classy and I love the free vodka.’
Excitement mounted as PASS editor Alex Miller stepped up to the podium to announce the winners of the night’s giveaway prizes.
And it wasn’t just the young accountants who enjoyed the night. Tony Holloway of LondonSAM, said: ‘We all had a great time and it was clearly a popular event. Thanks again,.’
ATC’s Georgina Wallace added: ‘It was a great night and always enjoyable to attend.’
Alex Miller concluded: ‘Once again it has been a massive success – I would like to extend a big thank-you to all the finalists and all the sponsors who have helped reconfirm this event as the best celebration of its kind.’
